The road to today.
It starts in the womb.
We all have a story to this very day, to this moment that you are here. I have long felt a natural magnetic pull to support the important work of family building, baby birthing, and mother nurturing. My story, like yours, is long and winding, filled with unexpected turns that have led to who we are today. I am continually in awe of life's subtle beauty, challenges and all.
Let’s consider the womb as a safe space for baby. Baby in the womb is comfortable, soothed, calm, and has no need to put up protective defences. Baby is loved, held, and safe.
Now let’s consider a doula as a safe space for a birthing person. A doula can cultivate an environment of easy calmness, a place to be vulnerable. A space where you can have an honest chance to feel, be heard and seen, process, transform, and claim empowered growth during your childbirth journey.
It starts in the womb. Literal and metaphorical. This idea of a safe space. If birther is held in this way, baby is held in this way.
A doula serves, guides, educates, and nurtures you through childbirth, filling the 'space-in-between' with intentional, unwavering support.
